Krispy Kreme Challenge is back February 9

Ah, the sounds of thousands of feet hitting the pavement, running over the streets of Raleigh for a great cause combined with the smell of thousands of delicious donuts ... being vomited on said streets.

Yes, the wonderful Krispy Kreme Challenge will soon be back! The 2013 version will be held on February 9.

The organizers are offering a treat this year (in addition to, you know, donuts): free registration if you raise enough money.

The original Krispy Kreme Challenge is excited to introduce the new fundraising initiative to help make our donation to the North Carolina Children's Hospital go even further.   Those who participate in the fundraising have the opportunity to earn a FREE entry into the Krispy Kreme Challenge.  Raise $500 by December 1 and you will get a complimentary entry into the race!  (Thanksgiving is a great time to ask friends and family to give for the NC Children's Hospital.) Race Date:  February 9, 2013 at 8:30 AM Race Registration Opens December 1, 2012 How to get involved with fundraising: Individuals and teams may raise funds for the Krispy Kreme Challenge and NC Children's Hospital on our organization fundraising page:  http://www.razoo.com/story/Krispy-Kreme-Challenge  CLICK HERE for a how-to guide for Krispy Kreme Challenge fundraising. Where do the funds go?: 100 percent of all funds raised will go directly to the North Carolina Children's Hospital Children's Promise Grants. These grants are proposed by employees who see a need in their program to provide better care and services to children and their families. For more information, visit the NC Children's Promise website. The Rules: We will have three different competitive windows for fundraising. Participants may choose to fundraise outside of these windows, but this will not count toward their competitive total. November 1 to December 1:  Any individual who raises at least $500 will automatically receive a free race entry to the 2013 Krispy Kreme Challenge! December 1 to February 1:  The team competition will take place. Teams are made up of 5-10 individuals, and the team that raises the most money during this window will receive the inaugural Krispy Kreme Challenge Cup. November 1 to February 1:  Individual fundraising will continue throughout this time period, and a separate award will be given to the individual who raises the most money.
