Check out 'The Point,' the new home for NCSU's chancellor

The home for N.C. State's chancellor appears to be completed (or very close to it). The new building on Centennial Campus replaces an older structure just off Hillsborough Street near the Belltower that, well, has apparently been in need of repair for some time.

This link will take you to some great photos of the new building, called "The Point." It was designed by College of Design Dean Marvin Malecha.

It's finished and the first grand opening party was 3 weeks ago! Done in time for the Woodsons to be home for the holidays!

I'm not sure about your comment about the old chancellor's house being in need of repair - I was lucky to be a guest of Mrs Woodson's there this summer and the house is very lovely and comfortable inside. It is of course ninety years old or so. It was designed by Hobart Upjohn and I heard it will be made into a gallery. I think lack of huge spaces for fundraising events, difficulty in getting in caterer's trucks etc was the real problem.
