All Modern has a great selection of modern furniture and home accessories from many leading designers. Part of CSN Stores, All Modern is just one of over 260 retail sites that offer a diverse array of products from Herman Miller’s popular Aeron Chair to cookware by Rachael Ray.
And to win one of these great products (pictured), all you have to do is give us your thoughts on this question: What is your favorite thing to do/favorite thing about the outdoors in Raleigh during the summer?
That's it. Share your thoughts and the good people at All Modern will randomly select one of you for a prize. We'll keep this contest open until Monday, July 20, 2009. Good luck, and happy blogging!
(Personally, it's hard for me to pick ONE favorite thing to do outdoors in Raleigh during the summer: walking around downtown; working in the yard; going to "the pool"; enjoying outdoor dining ... And, yes, I realize I'm not eligible for the prize ... darn it.)
*This contest is open to readers in the United States only.
Here are your potential prizes:

Blomus Polished Garden Globe Set (prize set includes 6-, 8-, 10-, and 12-inch globes)

I love the concerts at Moores Square and also the movies at the art museum.
Love people watching at Raleigh Times!
I have 2 -
The free outside yoga at Fred Fletcher park on Saturday mornings and/or at Shelley Lake on Sunday mornings.
Walking our dogs on all the different greenways. We have a large map and check them off as we complete different parts.
My favorite things are going to the pool, going to all of the wonderful parks Raleigh has, and cooking outdoors.
I also love to garden but my patch of land is all rocks so we use planters. So watering cans are a necessity. I would love their watering cans! They are so pretty they look like an art piece!!
Great give-away!!
I love taking the kids to Pullen Park to ride the train.
Oh, and taking the kids to Carter Finley for the Wolfpack Spring Football game!
Raleigh has a lot of summer activities - I enjoy the Downtown Live concerts in Moore Square, followed by some bar hopping/people watching at nearby drinking establishments. Various restaurants have outdoor seating, letting you enjoy the fresh air while drinking and eating (and listen to the nearby concert in Moore Sq).
Also, taking out a pedal boat or canoe on Lake Johnson (or any of the lakes) is always a good time!
I just moved here this month but have come to LOVE the Farmer's Market! Nothing like stocking up on fresh fruit and veggies on Sunday to start the week right!
Carolina RailHawks soccer matches at WakeMed Soccer Park
There are so many wonderful, family-friendly, FREE outdoor summer activities in Raleigh, but our absolute favorites are 1) the outdoor films at the NC Museum of Art and 2) dining and having drinks outside at any yummy local restaurant!
My favorite thing about Raleigh in the summer is being able to step out on my deck on Saturday evenings and listen to the concerts in Moore Square while I watch my 2-year-old chase fireflies in the back yard. Raleigh definitely has the best fireflies.
My favorite thing, which I didn't even notice last year, is sitting outside in the evening on our deck and listening to the 'heat' bugs and croaking frogs while having a drink.
Also, going to the pool is always a must!
As a Raleigh native, one thing that has stayed the same is the beautiful sound of the "night things"...the crickets, the cicadas, the symphony of insects and frogs. It's so peaceful and natural, yet it could keep you awake at night if you're not used to it. That's my favorite thing about Raleigh in the summertime.
These are some great comments. Having not grown up in Raleigh, the "night creatures" sounds aren't something I associate with a big city, but it's interesting/nice to see that cicadas and frogs are interwoven into the city's nightlife. Very cool.
I enjoy eating outside just about anywhere -- Cameron Village, downtown, Glenwood South.
I like walking the dog through downtown, as there is always something going on or something new opening.
I used to work at the Raleigh Downtown Live concerts, but now "settle" for hearing them from my house. Working every other Saturday and being married don't mix!
I love walking to the pool and eating outside downtown. The comments are full of fun things to do! Raleigh is a great place to live!
I can't pick just one. Free concerts in Moore Square, outdoor dining and drinking downtown, exploring greenways and parks (Umstead!), farmers' markets, I could go on and on!
We live in Garner and have 2 small boys, ages 3 and 5. They absolutely love to go to "The City" for a Hot Doughnut at Krispie Kreme. It doesn't matter if it's 100 degrees out, we have to get a doughnut and go to Pullen Park. My husband and I love to sneak out for a date and hit up one of the great downtown restaurants and catch whatever is playing at the IMAX.
