Shimmer Wall sneak peak

Ginny from the Blog was able to quickly snap a shot of the Raleigh Convention Center Shimmer Wall with one pane of it lit up. (Head on over there for a shot of it.)

As Ginny writes, the plan "is to officially light up the entire waving Oak Tree on Sept. 5, when the convention center officially opens.

"When fully lit, the wall can shimmer in tons of colors. They can even tailor the colors to match holidays (say green for St. Patrick’s Day) and special events (say red if the Hurricanes win the Stanley Cup)."

Let's not forget the Wolfpack, Ginny.

By the way, this may be a stupid question, but will it always show the Oak Tree? Or can it be changed?

From my understanding, the oak tree is part of the black vs. gray pannels, so it will always be there, unless they install new panels.

That is why you can "see" it now, even without the LED lights.
